About Teresa Carnuccio
Based in Napoli, Italy. Multidisciplinary artist with a background in architecture and photography. My work revolves around the construction of female identity in history and the role of women in society, questioning how memory, power, and representation shape our understanding of the feminine. Using photography and mixed media, I intervene on images through analog processes such as tearing, stitching, and painting—meditative acts of transformation that help me reclaim and reframe the narrative around women's lives and identity.
In parallel, I experiment with camera-less photography on fabric, using cyanotype and natural elements like the sun, sand, and salt water to create works that exist in dialogue with time and the environment. Click here for my cyanotype work, Thalassa.
